Well, we did know that this was going to happen at some point, didn’t we? China has been one of the fastest growing economies for the past couple of years, and there was a good reason for that. Even though China is slightly smaller than the US, its population is about 4 times as large.US companies have been manufacturing in China ever since but a lot of companies have been ignoring the market potential of actually selling in China, and moreover having a China presence. Why is that?China isn’t an easy market, never has been. It’s not only the language that is different, it’s the culture, the politics, the barriers… the list goes on. Companies have been resistant because they are afraid to fail, afraid to get stuck in the paper work, that it will be to much effort, to expensive…But that doesn’t have to be the case.Going to China should be on every companies radar. If you want to grow, you should be or at least think about entering the China market, and the recent data published by the World bank is proof, in black and white. Don’t wait, the right time is NOW.So what should you do?Consult with someone who knows China. Who knows the tricks, the language and the culture. China will become the world’s largest economy by the end of the year. That’s according to a new report from the International Comparison Program of the World Bank. UNTIL 1890 China was the world’s largest economy, before America surpassed it. By the end of 2014 China is on track to reclaim its crown.
