ISEB/ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing

This course is based on ISTQB's standard syllabus and is accredited by ISEB. Theory is alternated with practical exercises during three intense days, and there is an opportunity to take the ISTQB certification exam after the course. More and more companies require their testers to have this certification.

You will learn the basics of software testing: methodology, theory, techniques and terminology; as well as fundamental test concepts, test documentation, static and dynamic test techniques and test design. The course covers software testing both according to the V-model, as well as iterative development.

Content

• The difference between test levels and test types
• The difference between black-box and white-box techniques
• How to plan, estimate, monitor and control testing
• Simplify communication through common terminology
• Deeper knowledge about different test tools and the best way to use them

The course is taught in English.

By the end of day three, you will have the opportunity to take an exam for the ISTQB Foundation certificate in Software Testing. Please indicate when you sign up for the course if you would like to take the exam. There is an extra fee of SEK 1800 for the exam.

Target Audience

This course is suitable for everyone involved in software testing, such as testers, test analysts, test designers and test managers, as well as anyone looking for basic software testing knowledge, e.g. project managers, QA managers, system managers, development managers and others.

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge is required for this course, but six months or more of testing experience is an advantage if you would like to take the exam. The exam is not mandatory.
