A-Tool is Symbio’s light weight and quick startup test automation solution. Test automation with A-tool makes software projects more efficient and frees engineers to let them do what they do best.

A-Tool can be used in various areas of testing

• Load and Performance testing. Data loading in databases, memory, disk.
• Functional testing. Scripter controls handsets and checks results of operations based on bitmap checksum, text found on screen or results of various operations.
• User interface testing. Scripter navigates through handset menus and user interfaces making sure that reference texts and bitmaps can be found in correct places.
• Long period testing (Stress, Endurance). Device is tested over a long period of time and functionality is verified and memory leaks identified with built-in memory reporting.
• Performance testing. Measurements of performance are done automatically and results reported accurately. Tests are always done exactly the same way.

Operation modes

• Normal, running test cases in order from first to last
• Random, running test cases in random, prioritized order
• Loop mode, running test cases either in random or normal order for defined times*
• Stepping mode for debug purposes*
• Update mode, runs script and asks user to update not found bitmap checksums*

• Includes the most common features
• Free trial license for up to 3 years
• Cannot be customized, but can be used for creating test scripts for A-tool Professional version 

2. Symbio A-tool Professional

• All available features are supported for all platforms
• Delivery includes delivery contract for first year of maintenance
• Includes one day training

3. Symbio A-tool as a Service

• Each Symbio test professional can use Symbio A-tool Professional in customer projects without any extra costs for the customer
• Customization and new platform support are available
• Project based work is quoted separately
