Symbio agrees to buy Cubical Solutions

Symbio, which focuses on outsourced product development, said Tuesday it agreed to acquire the business operations of Cubical Solutions.

Symbio, which has U.S. headquarters in San Jose, did not disclose terms of the deal.

Helsinki, Finland-based Cubical Solutions is a software engineering service company for the telecommunications, financial services and manufacturing industries.

Symbio said the acquisition adds expertise in "critical domain areas that enable rapid technology convergence between IT and telecom."

In October, Symbio announced plans to merge with two Scandinavian technology companies under the Symbio name.
