Latest Facts and Findings from Forrester Research

Recently, John McCarthy, Vice President and Principal Analyst from Forrester Research, presented a study titled "Assessing China's Place In Your Offshore Portfolio." According to McCarthy's travels and research, his theme of the teleconference was "China will continue to evolve and mature as an offshore destination.

Forrester currently ranks China as the third destination of choice with India being the first and the Philippines being the second. McCarthy believes that China is the only match to India in ranking as the #1 offshore destination. Rather than simply being a cost cutting initiative, China is a market expansion opportunity, and entrepreneurs need to look at China's long term ability plus its expected growth in the next 3-5 years.

McCarthy's supporting facts include government support, ample resources, English and cultural training, Project Management training, and University programs. McCarthy also discussed China's sophisticated and modern infrastructure.

Leading global outsourcer adds professional certification program in China

The Symbio Group last week announced a new advanced IT and management training program, called the Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP) program, through its Symbio Technology Institute (STI). STI's new Certified Outsourcing Professional training program includes training courses, curricula and certifications in seven areas:
